Grand Seiko serial numbers
Sminto is not affiliated with, endorsed by or an authorised service of Grand Seiko. This page does not authenticate watches.
The same six-character rule as Seiko: month and last digit of the year on the watch, the decade from the calibre's production span. Modern rows follow collector convention and say so.
Where to find the serial
Six characters engraved on the caseback beside the calibre and case code.
Where to find the reference
The calibre and case code on the caseback, as two groups joined by a hyphen (9F62-0A10). The modern reference (SBGA211) is on the warranty card and the box label, not on the watch.
What this page can and cannot say
It reads the serial against the format rules Grand Seiko has used and says which era it fits. The same six-character rule as Seiko: month and last digit of the year on the watch, the decade from the calibre's production span. Modern rows follow collector convention and say so. With a reference it says whether the serial's era and the reference's production window fit each other.
It does not say whether a watch is real or fake, it does not ask the brand anything, and no lost-or-stolen check is performed here. Years are estimates from published tables that the brand does not publish or endorse; where tables disagree, the page shows both.
No reviewed table for Grand Seiko yet, so the check does not run for this brand. Rows go live only with a source and a reviewer; the Grand Seiko serial number table shows what is live.
Lost or stolen?
No lost-or-stolen check was performed on this page. Check free at Enquirus, or at The Watch Register (paid; used by dealers, insurers and police).
